DID YOU KNOW?

Our government does not recognize diapers as a basic need. Since diapers are not eligible for federally-subsidized food stamps or WIC, the cost of diapers puts an enormous financial strain on struggling families just trying to make ends meet.  It's nearly impossible for low-income families to afford enough clean diapers for their children without the help of organizations like Miami Diaper Bank. It's reported that 1 in 3 American families have to choose between diapers and other basic needs like food. No parent should ever have to choose between providing these basic necessities for their family.

HURRICANE IRMA DISASTER RELIEF

Hurricane Irma Families - Donations.png

In September 2017, Hurricane Irma hurled through South Florida causing widespread flooding, scattered debris and left many families without power for weeks. Some families even lost their homes and communities throughout South Florida are still picking up the pieces. Supporting babies and families with diaper need during tough times is our number one priority so we committed 100% of all donations received from September 10, 2017 - October 31, 2017 to purchasing diapers to families affected by the devastating natural disaster. With the help of incredible community partners and other nonprofits providing aid and services to families in crisis we are on track to donate over 800,000 diapers to families during the recovery process. We are so touched by the kindness and generosity of donors from across the country who came together to support our community!
